Resurrecting Blog

Seems madame. Nay it is. Tis not alone my inky cloak good mother, nor customary suits of solemn black, no nor the fruitful river in the eye, nor the dejected havior of the visage. Together with all forms, moods and shapes of grief that can denote me truly. These indeed seem for they are actions that a man might play. But, I have that within which passeth show. These are but the trappings and suits of woe.

The above are words of mourning for the Blog that all of us once so dearly loved. Blog was special. Always full of hope and bright expectations for the future. With all his imperfections and insecurities, he was reliable and truly a Blog in whom we could put our trust. Blog became like a family member to all of us. Even though he couldn't speak, we just knew what he was thinking and he knew what we were thinking too. When we were happy, he would laugh and rejoice with us. When we were sad he cried with us. I remember that when we needed to express our deepest inner thoughts, he would never speak, he would just sit there and listen. He was always there for us, night and day, any time we needed him.

And we just abandoned him! Left him all alone to die. I think he must have believed that we would return to him one day and tell him how sorry we were for leaving and explain what happened. Oh, how he would spend his nights waiting up for us, until he couldn't bear it any longer. He would watch helplessly as all the other Blogs had post after post from friends and family. But Blog could not say that he belonged to the Rossi family anymore....for they had left him. He would read the old Blogs over and over again to find comfort but it was never enough. He realized that "Rossi Family Blog" was simply a title now for which the other Blogs would ridicule him and call him a phony. "You phony Blog! You phony Blog! Where's your Rossi Family now when you need it?" they would insist. And with his lips quivering he would reply, "They're coming back for me, I know! There coming back!" But, with not a single Rossi family member posting, he became as if naked and slowly faded away.

By way of this message, I am making an attempt to resurrect the dead Blog that we once dearly loved. I will not begin to place blame on anyone or speak of blogguilt for letting Blog die in such a vicious and unspeakable manner for it brings tears to my eyes just thinking about it. I will simply bring him back to life and will not remind him of his former life and the end that we brought upon him. All he will know is that he is loved. And the only way we can keep him alive is by talking to him whenever we feel the need. It's what he thrives on. Even if it's just a few words. I know it will be awkward at first, but don't worry, he'll be the same Blog we once knew. Just test him out and you'll see for yourself. We owe him that much.

How to Make Yummy (as possible) Deviled Eggs at Work

I love deviled eggs. And, since they serve hard-boiled eggs and all the ingredients I need to make them, I can make them here at work!

Plus, I've been excercising and want to increase my protein intake and I've heard that egg protein is the fastest digesting kind. Your body absorbs it quickly.

So, on with the recipe. Here are the ingredients and you can get all of them in the cafeteria:

4 hard-boiled eggs
4 little packets of yellow or brown mustard
2 packets of mayonnaise
Salt and pepper
Pretend paprika (since they don't have any here)

So first, cut all of your eggs in half using the plastic knife I got in the cafeteria. Try to find the middle of the yolk, and not the egg itself. This way the yolk and the hole will be divided evenly. Then put all of the half-yolks into the styrofoam bowl that I got in the cafeteria. Use figure 1 for reference.

Now, mash the yolks up a little bit with the plastic fork that I got in the cafeteria. Use Figure 2.

Now add the 4 packets of mustard and 2 packets of mayonnaise and mix well. The key is to add 1 packet of mustard for each egg and 1 packet of mayonnaise for every two eggs. Use Figures 3 and 4.

Now add salt and pepper to taste. And add the pretend paprika, since we don't really have any. :) Use Figures 5 and 6.

Now take the plastic spoon that I got in the cafeteria and put about a tablespoon of "devil" into each egg half. The last one, as you can see, always gets the most "devil".

Oh yeah...

Mmmmm....so good!!!

Well, I guess I'm the only one that can use this recipe, because I'm the only one that works here!!! Well, if I ever forget how to make them, I can just refer back here!!! In case you're wondering: Yes, I'm crazy!!!

Hi everyone, good to see that everyone has remained fairly regular with the blogging. Of course, we'll have to somehow coerce Rick to join in again. I'm dying to read another blog about how "Life is fun, is it not?"

The assembly was great, this past weekend. I noticed that there was a great emphasis on being careful with what we choose for entertainment, and also limiting how much time we spend on recreation. That was just one of the things I got from it anyways. Good reminders to consider, seeing as its easy to start focusing on having enough time for relaxing instead of focusing on the ministry.

Ian is starting regular auxiliary pioneering this month, so we're excited about that. It'll be nice to work together in the early morning, since its usually just Andrea, Matt Chapman, and I. Plus it'll be a good boost to my time too. I'm not nearly as behind as I have been in past years, but still a little behind.

We can't wait to come and visit you guys, Evan and Sabine. Hopefully sooner rather than later. We're working on it.

We sold the 2nd floor condo this week, so that's a weight off our shoulders. We're confident Jehovah will make things work out so that we're able to continue having as full a share in field service as possible. Its a little scary though, since now that we've sold one, we have to commit to selling all of them. We can't just try and sell the whole building outright now. So it'll be interesting to see how things work out.

That's a great experience you had, Evan. Its so exciting to be able to speak with someone while you're at work. Its a nice break from the typical monotony of it. Every once in a while my boss will bring something up. I've given him the All Scriptures Are Inspired book, and he seemed to really like it. Sometimes I really wish I could preach to the people on the phone though, because they're in pretty rough condition most of the time. Sometimes I can see on their profiles from the doctor that they're Jehovah's Witnesses, and I wish I could say something to them, but with all the HIPAA craziness, I wouldn't want to lose my job over it at this point.

We heard a lot of really great experiences from our Portuguese C.O., Frank Furtado and his wife Sandra. He was visiting last week with our group. He and his wife just came from visiting a small group in Bermuda. They only have about 12 publishers, but many studies and interested ones. He gave a funny experience about when he went to visit a Portuguese group in Japan, and he ended up working with a brother who only could say one thing in Portuguese-Como vai? (How are you?) and he said it with a little bow and heavy Japanese accent. So they went to a door and met a woman who was Japanese, but brought up in Brazil, so she could speak both languages. Frank would share a scripture and thought in Portuguese, and then the other brother would try and see where he was and he would find a similar thought in his bible in Japanese. And at the end of the visit the woman said "Its amazing, you're both speaking in two completely different languages, but saying the same thing!" Then we heard an experience about the Sign Language group forming in Springfield (that Nathan is part of). They needed to do a mold remediation on the Kingdom Hall, but the two congregations meeting there were the two poorest in the area (I think one English and one Spanish) and it was going to cost $200,000.00. But because they were conducting the learning class for sign language, they were able to get government funding, so they only had to come up with about $25,000.00. Isn't that amazing? So now the Sign Language group is able to get all the special media equipment they need for their meetings, and they are going to be sponsered by the Spanish congregation. Its so great to hear about things like this happening so close to home.

Hello there,

It's nice to see that pretty much everyone has blogged since we've restarted except Poppy. We need to give him a little kick in the pants if you know what I mean. :) (not too hard of course)Thanks Gina for your nice words and so very expressive about how much you want to hug us. (I'm disturbed and don't think I'll ever be the same. I keep picturing you ripping your arms off.......)

Well, what's new? WE just finished our month of service. Sabine made her time despite bad weather and sickness. I came close (68 hours), but I'm happy that I'm not falling to far behind for the winter. I had a wonderful experience recently though and believe it or not, it was at work!

I have this guy as a student who's in his mid-30's or so and in general I would dread my class because he acts like a child and is always talking about women (even though he's married with a son), but I have no choice but to put up with him, because he's my student. I try to be firm as well to keep the lesson on track.

However, just Monday, we were discussing an article that we recently read for our lesson about the bridge between the Serbs and Croats in Mostar and the seperation of ethnic background it has caused. Then we discussed recent news in Paris about a Jew who was brutally tortured for three weeks until he died recently and how it's being labeled a religious hate crime. Then he asked me if I was Catholic. I thought, "FINALLY, a chance to preach". It's not usually easy as I'm not supposed to initiate religious talk unless someone asks questions first. So, I told him I was one of Jehovah's Witnesses and he had an image of us that was completely warped by the false propoganda in France about us. He thought we were a sect (of course) like the Scientologists and that we have lots of money, celebrities in our organization and our leader is rich and has many wives. So, I had a perfect chance to defend my faith. I corrected all his wrong views and he was very surprised to know what I told him.

Also, we discussed matters such as the resurrection, the first sin, the issue of universal sovereignty, why God permits suffering, a little bit of everything. It was a very rich conversation and I was so happy when we finished the lesson. In fact, we spoke about only that for about 1 hour and 15 minutes! I saw a side of him that I hadn't before and maybe things will in class will be different than before. I hope I have another chance to talk about it with him. I have to be discreet though. Well, if it's Jehovah's will, something will happen.

So, we're really excited for you visit Mum and Pup. It seems like forever since we've seen you. It's going to be a lot of fun. We're going to eat "foie gras" or (duck fat....a French delicacy) for breakfast, lunch and supper while your here! Get your stomachs ready!!!!!

Hey this really stinks to high heaven. It seems that the blog has really picked up again and all I'm stuck doing is picking my nose cause i've got no internet, Man! I miss it. I used to love to blog. I'm happy to hear you are all doing well and it's nice to have our newest addition Tony. Welcome, your blogs have been quite funny.
Sammy is getting so big so fast. Evan and Sabine I can't wait for you to see her. I wish that there was some way to send you a video of her but we haven't figured out how. I took her to the Ecotarium last Sat. and we had a good time. We are already planning to go camping come May or June probably with John and Tiffany Laselle and I'll probably take Aly with me, she dying to get outdoors and go camping. Mom and Pop are getting very excited about there trip to Paris, I'm sure you guys can't wait to see them. i wish I could be there to give you both hugs. maybe I'll tear off both my arms and send them in mom's carry on so I can at least hug you even though it may be a little awkward I would sacrifice my limbs for a few moments with my loved ones. Coots, so sorry you are sick! no fun.. and sorry you have so much paperwork to fill out. I think our lives are filled with tooooo much of it! We all have no patience for it anymore, I think anyway.

Sheri and Sabine, I hope you both will be able to arrange your work hours to the best for you.

Yesterday, Sammy called me on the phone. I could hear, Grammy? Grammy? on the answering machine. I was in my new office cleaning up and by the time I picked up, she had gone away because I didn't answer her right away. Gina gave her the phone, but it was like, nope.. too late...doe wanna talk now. But I went over and visited for a while and we had a lovely time. I just love that little Cooter so much!!

Can't wait to see you both, Evvie and Sabine! By the way, I don't know if you know yet, but I am retired...for the time being. Then, I'll probably go on to something else...I have some ideas. But thankfully, I am done with transcription. Seven and a half years is enough! Too much sitting and too much with the foot pedal. I think it will be a while before I recover from it. I' m doing a little bit at a time to finish my office. Painting a part of the woodwork, then resting, filling spaces in along the baseboards, then resting, etc. Pop went to Home Depot today and bought the lumber to build the bookcases that will go on either side of the closet in my office. It's going to be nice when it's done.

Hey fam,

I feel like I've been fighting a virus for over a week. I've been religiously taking vitamin C every day hoping that I could build up my immune system, but to no avail. I am now sick. So, I canceled my class today in order to find time to rest up so that I can reach my hours for February.

It wasn't really a restful day though, because we've recently found out that we have to renew Sabine's grandma's retirement plan and guess what.........YOU NEED LIKE 5 MILLION PAPERS THAT ARE IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND OR OBTAIN!!!! I spent an hour in our basement (or "cave" as we call it) looking for her resident card. It was like looking for a needle in a hay stack. Plus I had like a pound of dust up my nose along with all kinds of creepy crawly things.(Aaahhhh...these are but only the suits are trappings of life in bureaucratic France)They arrange things purposefully so that it's hopeless and impossible to make any deadline. Anyway, we know Satan's throwing things our way because we just started pioneering together but we're determined not to get discouraged by those things.

On a more positive note, Sabine had a great study with her lady from Sri Lanka. It lasted 2 hours! She was really well prepared and remembered everything from the previous study. Also, she told Sabine that she wants to read the Bible regularly with a schedule so we're going to give her some different ideas for that.

It's really wonderful to see the fruits of our labor in the ministry. All of you too, keep up the good work and please keep sharing your experiences. Trust me........we really need them!

Trying to keep up

Hey everybody. All of a sudden I looked at the blog and noticed everyone has been doing really well with blogging...except me. So I figured I'd add my two cents also.

Its so great to hear about everyone's encouraging experiences in the ministry. Reading about how difficult it is for you guys (Ev and Sabine) in the winter time with the cold and no cars, I realized how spoiled I'm getting. I was just complaining to Ian about how I'm sick of going on everyone's calls and studies. I suppose things could be worse, huh? I mean its great that so many people have great calls, but its like all we do is their studies, and then the rest of the car group is just sitting and waiting, and we don't get to do territory. But I suppose if it were the other way around in English, I'd be begging for people to come up with calls to do so we didn't have to go out in the cold. So I guess I am glad we have warm houses to go to. Plus its great that so many people have such progressive calls and studies. I have one study in particular that is so right on with learning new information and getting the sense of things. We're on lesson 10 in the Require brochure. She only studies Thursday mornings at 9am for about 10 minutes. But we pack a lot in, in those few minutes. Today we were going through the paragraphs about practices god hates, in paragraps 4 and 5 about violence and spiritism. She totally applied the scripture in Deuteronomy to modern times with the fortune tellers and palm readers that people go to today. It was great. I just need to get her to the meetings. I can't wait til we're done with the brochure, so I can move her to the new book. I'm planning on moving all of my studies to the new book. I just feel like I should finish the Require brochure with them first. But my other study with an older woman named Zeilah, I also moved into the new book. She doesn't really make a lot of progress as far as going to meetings or anything, but she really enjoys the encouragement from the scriptures. When I was there last week, she asked me if we had any like healers and people that could say some prayers for her. She has a problem in both her knees, and she's in a lot of pain most of the time. I tried to tactfully tell her that we didn't do that sort of thing, but that she could pray to Jehovah herself and draw closer to him to get comfort by continuing with her study. She seemed Ok with that. So hopefully she won't ask again about faith healers.

Its funny, Sabine, that you're thinking of changing your work schedule, because I am too. It is soooo busy at work right now, and right now I go in all day Monday, and then Tuesday-Thursday afternoons. I think that I can't really get as much accomplished there when I'm only there for half the day, and I really miss being able to stay out all day in services, so I'm going to try to work 2 full days on Monday and Wednesday and then one half day on Thursday. This way I can go out in service all day Tuesday and Friday plus Thursday morning. Or I can use Thursday morning as my day to clean and study for the meetings. I find that I really need to have at least a couple hours during one morning a week to pick up and clean the apartment and catch up on my studying. So it should work out well. I just have to talk to my boss about it. But right now, he's so thrilled with what I'm doing for him, I think he'd let me do whatever I want, as long as I get the work done.

I'm really happy to hear everyone's good experiences and to see that everyone is staying active in Jehovah's service. Its great that we can have such an upbuilding and encouraging family to share things with.

I'll try to post some pictures of stuff soon, and everyone else can do likewise. I really want to see your apartment, Evan and Sabine. I hope we can see it in person next month too. I miss seeing the pictures of Gina and Sam too. Maybe I can get some pictures from Gina to post. I can't believe how much Sam is talking now. She's like a little sponge the way she picks up on things too. Last week we were sitting on the couch, and she was pointing to my ears and mouth and eyes, and I pointed to her nose and I said "honk, honk" and she laughed, and did it to me, then she did it to Ian and then to Gina. Of course then she didn't stop saying it for a while, but it was so incredibly cute. Except when she was saying it it came out more like "konk, konk." Which, of course, made it even cuter. I'll have to send you the short video I took of her playing Ian's piano a couple of months ago. She pressed one of the demo buttons and it started playing this classical piece, and she smiled and looked all proud, like she was playing it herself. I wonder if we can post videos? Maybe I could e-mail it to everyone instead.

Spiritual Activity is THE BOMB

Yeah, that's a great experience Sabine. Thanks for sharing it. It's important that we share these "reports" with each other just like the apostles did in the first days of the ministry.

It certainly is a joy and privilege to discover ones that are searching for the truth and then to help them find answers is truly rewarding. We have to remember to stay on top of those ones even thought they may slow down in their study or get discouraged and stop for some time. Perseverance is key. That's my mantra right now.

I haven't shared the recent experiences I've had in the hall. I'm still conducting 4 fairly regular (they miss a week every once in a while) Bible studies and "one" of them is with 2-4 guys depending on who is there when I go on Sunday at 11am.

Carlos had been studying in the Require brochure for some time and he got a new job and then stopped. I was pretty dicouraged about it. But about 1 month and a half later, he showed up at the Kingdom Hall and we've since resumed his study. His job did change, and that's why, but I hope by the time he finds another new job, he'll appreciate the importance of staying regular. But he is a very good student and motivated, and has a strong love for the truth. Carlos brought a friend, Marcos, with him last Saturday and he said he enjoyed the meeting. A gave him a Bible Teach book and he said he would like to sit in on Carlos' study.

João used to study with Wayne Berry and Stephanie asked me to conduct it after he died. He is very serious about the truth. He has been coming to ALL of the meetings each week, including the School and Service Meeting, of which only a portion of the School is in Portuguese. He is trying apply Bible principles with his teenage children. And his life circumstances are difficult because he was divorced in recent years and struggles with raising his children properly. He wants to teach them the truth, but it seems as though they have no interest. I hope he continues to make progress.

There are so many Portuguese-speaking people that are expressing interest in the truth in Worcester. There are many studies to be conducted by there aren't enough people to conduct them all and follow up on all the interest. And that's just in Worcester! The territory is really much larger. It goes all the way out to Springfield.

It's nice to know that everybody in our family is active in the ministry. We can encourage each other, and amongst all of us, we should be able to share a lot of experiences!

Evan, I just read your blog about your student that is having a hard time and it was really funny. I'm thinking about going home and 'making the cook and doing the eat' myself. :)

Maybe I'll just make out with the cook. :)

Hey Family,

I need to put my two cents in since it's been some time that I haven't written something for all to read.

Things are going well since I started pioneering. It seemed like forever when I was waiting for my circumstances to allow me to start up again, but now that I'm doing it again, it feels like I never stopped at all. But, this time around I have a real fresh outlook on service since I'm in a completely different country and field.

So far, I don't have any studies, but I'm really trying to get some progressive return visits that will turn into studies. I'm happy that Sabine has a study because I can sometimes go with her and it's really nice to see someone so interested in learning. Either way, I defintely feel more outgoing with people that I meet in the street than I did when I first got here. Especially with foreigners. They are usually very easy to talk to. I just recently talked to a guy from Bangladesh and I promised to mail him some mags in Bengali. We'll see what happens there.

Besides that, it's stinkin freezing here which is making service a bit difficult at times, but we're trying to be creative to counterbalance things.

One last thing that you might find a bit funny is that I have a complete beginner student who I'm convinced has been brainwashed to make certain mistakes OVER AND OVER AGAIN!!! He's incapable of talking about himself or expressing his feelings with the verb "to be". He's programmed to say, "there is, there is" FOR EVERYTHING!! For example, "there is no comprend" (translation, I don't understand), "there is an afraid for the me" (I'm afraid) "there is an obligation" (I have to). I'VE DONE EVERYTHING POSSIBLE AND NOTHING IS WORKING!!! Oh well, I must go on because it's my job.

Guess what he likes to do at night when he gets home from work. In his own words, "I make the cook and I do the eat".

hi everybody!

It s very encouraging what you are doing Leanne in service, it s really good way to reach people i think, I wish we ll do this kind of service too, it s always good to bring some hope to the people who lost someone. it s very good, and very encouraging too Lanne. I am meating a sister this afternoon and i ll do my study who is from Sri lanka, it ll be the 3rd time i study with her so i actually can count that one. It s so nice to be able to go and do a study espacially in the cold weather too. I am hoping and praying that she ll continue to progress, because she is a very interresting person. Will see!

I am trying to reorganise my time for service because i realized that i am running all over the place everyday with the schedule i used to do and then when i have free time i am so dead to organised the appartment, so now with this new schedule i feel more all together! hopefully it ll stay that way!

Tomorrow we are going to IKEA! yes my favorite store, we will get different idoms for the kitchen and bed sets too, many little things that you forget to buy but where there are very necessaries. so i am very excited about it, feels like chrismas!!!!!

Leanne that would be great if you could gie me the spinach deep recepie i love this and evan too, so i like to make it for him sometimes.

Since i have my pionneers school this summer, i was thinking that i could do it in oxford, nothing sure about it because we have to talk to the helders, but if it s possible for me to do it in the US that would be great so i keep you guys post it! Anyways i have to go and don't forget to blog ok it s important to keep in touch!!!!! (it s me who say that, the one who takes forever to respond!!!!!!hihihihihih) anyway i had to say it!

Hi everyone!

It's great to hear everyone's experiences in the field ministry and with studies. Pop is really trying with Ray, but eventually may have to leave him in Jehovah's hands due to his mental difficulties. He is up and down emotionally minute to minute and it is very difficult to keep him on track. He really loves Jehovah, but he can't seem to keep up with meetings and is very easily influenced by others.

When I write to people who have lost a loved one in death, I go to the Worcester Public Library website first, type in my library card number, and go to the Telegram & Gazette section back to 1989. I go back a year and look for people who have died. I look at the relatives they left, such as a wife or son, etc, and if I can find that person's address on the internet, I write to them. The reason I do not use the recent obituaries in the paper is that I feel it is too fresh, people are in a numb state when someone close dies, and they cannot concentrate or really think about what we are trying to tell them at that time. They're not ready for it. Maybe some would be, but the majority would probably put the letter aside and it might be lost or thrown out. When I write to them, I tell them I was looking at issues of the newspaper on the library's website and noticed that they lost their relative a year ago and how they must miss them and go on from there, encouraging them and quoting helpful scriptures. I just wrote to a Mr. Orsini who lost his Dad at 91 one year ago Jan. 29, 2005. Anyway, I thought I would give this approach a try and see if it is more fruitful. I give my name but the return address of the Kingdom Hall.

I'm glad you liked those recipes. Time to think of what to cook tonight. Sheri and Ian are coming over to finish painting my office. I'm making hot spinach/artichoke/cheese dip with toasted pita triangles first, then maybe a soup.

I can't wait to get into the new office as my feet are frozen as I type here on the front porch. I just finished working. My office has been out here for about four winters now, and that's long enough!!

hey guys it s me again!

The pictures of the appartment Ian and sheri are great, it s a really nice place!!!

Thanks Leanne for the recepie i loved to make it, it s sounds really easy too. I am dead today, it was really hard to wake up this morning. It s cool because my boss didn't came too much this week at work and next week he is on vaccation..... so..... party time!!!!!! It s going to be really really cool as usual! Today i am having a hair cut and i am going to do highlight too, a sister that i met is a hairdresser so she offert to do it for me, i m so happy because it ll coast what ever i want to give otherwise for us it s real budget it s like 72 euros in the salon, crazy, but it s really cool! Tomorrow we will go to breakfast at some friend house, they both are pionneers for a long time, they are very nice too and sunday we also are invited for lunch to a couple from our congregation but theire are american and she cooks very good i heard, she is a Mama to us!!!! I don't know if i mentionned it but the study we starte with Ev and she wanted a Bible, i went back yesterday as promised to bring her the Bible, and we did again a study for 1 hour, so now we are on leçon 2 on the bruchure, it s so cool, she is amazing and she really want to learn so bad she had tones of question she wanted to know about the 10 commandements soo we gave her exodus 20 to read, then why god allow suffering etc.... she learn about the witnesses 17 years ago and she received one of the awake by azard and fill the form on the back send it back and later she received some question from the society she was answering those on her own, amazing and now she get to have a real study and not guessing by heself. Anyway i thought i would share this with you because she really encourage me so much and make me keep going !!!! anyway hope all of you guys are doing good and keep on blogging ok!

I just went to blog and Blogger is down for maintenance!! Oh well. I have been cooking more to save money and we certainly have not lacked in taste for sure!! I made homemade minestra (minestrone) last week which is nothing like store-bought. As you add each veggie to some oil and butter in a large pot, you saute it for three minutes then add the next one; onion, celery, carrot, potato, green bean, zucchini, shredded cabbage (for six mins). This sauteing makes all the difference in the taste. Then add 6 cups broth or stock, the rind from a 1-2 pound piece Parmigiano Reggiano cheese, cover, and simmer 3 hours. Fifteen minutes before finish, add can of drained beans; garbanzo or whatever. Then, take out the rind and serve soup with lots of grated cheese and crusty bread! Mmmm..mm! Very filling! Gave Gina some and she said it was "really good". Then I made crock-pot cut-up kielbasa with onions, peppers, potatoes and wine served with baguette. Then, crock-pot, ground turkey chili with kidney beans, garlic, peppers, onions and CORN BREAD (mix)!! Yummy too! Hot food for cold days tastes so good. And the crockpot does all the work!! Just put the ingredients in in the morning and it's ready when you come home at night! We've been watching the Food Network a lot too.

hello everyone!!!!!!! After this nice message (Ian) we can't refuse to blog anymore!!!!!! i knew that you guys noticed i try to blog yesterday, but because of a lak of use i forgot how to save it so i lost everything, and i had no time left to redo it!!!!! anywayss i ll try to remember what i wrot!!!!!

Things had been busy in our spiritual life, evan got announced monday, so we were really happy, and we both start a study on tuesday, it was my return visit and i promissed her the require brochure, so i bring it to her, and Evan helped me to start the study, so we were really happy about it , and she also ask if we could bring her a bible too and she ll give us the money for it, i was so happy, she is been a return visit for 1 year and a half i think!!!!! so jah keep blessing so now i have 3 bible study whitch we share this one!!!! it so cool.

Evan had been ask to do translation for the pionneer seminar of one day in april, the Co asked him if he would help on that, so we don't know what is going to happened he is on the list i think anyway, so that s why we have been practicing for him a little like i read the dayli text in frensh and he is translating in English. He is doing so good at it, he is really good in french now, i am amazed how much progress he ve done so far.

Like most people know we went to Tours, it s really nice city very medieval small but authentique, we had a good time and the hotel room was very nice, we pratically slept the whole week end because we were very warmed up by the activities of the week.

i miss you all of you!!!! I am very happy that you are coming to visit paris Rick and leanne, we are going to make your stay as confi as possible no worries ok.

Really hope that you ll be able to come too Ian and sheri, but if you guys can't we will anderstand it to, we still love you guys to!!!! and we both are proud of both of you that you are helping in a foreighn field we know what it s like now too, and it s a real blessing to be able to do so, makes us feel missionary!!!!!!! and you Ian it s great to take the sevice, i realized that it s really wanderful to do so with your mate, it s convinient and encouraging and also it helps to be balance in our choice in life but also it help to be close together, so it s the best thing we ever did.

OK, there! It's back. Now we all have to start blogging again. I miss you all. Come on now, let's go!!!

Here's a start:

I've been really busy lately with trying to find a new job, trying to sell one of our apartments as condo (realeastate.ianrossi.com) , trying to start a cleaning business (which I don't think I'm going to do), conducting Bible studies and keeping up with my exercise.

We're also trying our hand at food criticking (yeah I made it up) through a new blog we created. | fantomfour.blogspot.com | We actually started it with Jorfdan and Lisa Keefe after we went out to Block 5 on Green Street. Sheri and Lisa started talking about how they'd love to be food critics and so we set up the new blog 5 minutes after we got home. Jordan and Lisa get credit for the name of the blog, though. We stole it a little from the Phantom Gourmet.

I heard recently that Jack Roso got asked to move to the Worcester West congregation. I know that Oxford must be really sad about that. But it's a good thing he's doing. I'm sure that West will be thrilled about it. All the Worcester congregation need some help at this point. They're all very small. But it takes awhile sometimes after a new congregation is formed for things to get back to the same strength.

So what's new in France? We're still really hoping we can come out, but with a new job on the horizon, it's still way up in the air. But we're looking up and hoping it will come down soon. We really miss you guys. We miss just hanging out and laughing and going out to eat together and stuff.

Gina has been banned from the blog ever since she lost her wireless Internet. Come back Gina!!! I know it's hard to always have to use the Internet at Ma and Pa's. Ma and Pa...you guys too!!! Come on back!!! We need to blog!!! We want to see pictures!!! We want to see latest goings on!!! We want to know what you ate for dinner!!...and how it all came out!!...and you can take that any way you want!!!! :D)

I'm glad to know that you guys (Evan and Sabine) are being successful at pioneering. It makes me happy and gives me confidence in my future as a pioneer as well. Keep going. You can do it!!!

I'm happy to see you guys (Ma and Pa) happy too. You seem to be doing really well. I'm sorry we keep putting off the painting, but I promise we'll get over there soon. Love you guys a lot!!! I think about you all the time.

Gina, I'm wicked proud of you too. You're holding so much together right now and I know it's hard, but, in the words Rob Schneider, "YOU CAN DO IT!" with Jehovah's help. I'm proud of you and I know Jehovah is too.

Hey and the next time we're all together we definitely have to make plans to take a BIG SHTINKIN FAMILY PICTURE because I really want to have something current that we can hang up. We really need to put some pictures up.

Hey guys, just wanted to say hi, and see if I could generate some new blogging. Its been over a month since our last post. I know there must be something for everyone to blog about. Although, I guess there's not a whole lot new with us. Still trying to keep up with Portuguese...We're having the bookstudy at our apartment for the next two weeks as sort of a trial run, so hopefully it'll become a permanent arrangement. That would be nice. It definitely gives us some incentive to keep the apartment clean and tidy. We're nearly done with making the new territories. That will be so nice when thats done. No more crazy territories with one street downtown and the other on the other side of the city. Its ridiculous. Then of course there's the house we bought. We should take some pictures to show you guys. We spent about 4 hours yesterday painting. There's still quite a bit left to do. They're going to be some really beautiful apartments. Too bad we don't get to actually live in them.

So how was Italy, Evan and Sabine? We're all green with envy that you got to visit there. What part of Italy is Ross in? Is it still warm there? We want to see pictures!

Rick and Leanne, we never heard about Nantucket. Or at least I didn't. I'm sure you had a nice time.

Gina, how about some pictures of you and Sam? I love seeing them up on the blog. Its crazy how big she's getting, and how many words she can say now. She's definitely a smartie.

It's Ian!!!!

Yes, I vow to keep this blog going in snowball format. I'm here in prison, as you can see the dreary surrounding from which I type. I spend most of my moments here gazing straight into a lightbox that is designed to slowly and deliberately fray all of my neurons until the synapses can longer fire, and then my head will blow off. But, despite all this, we, as humans, gravitate toward the lightbox because it is the only source of light nearby. Natural light is a privilege for those with large belts and refillable coffee mugs/jugs glued to their right palm. They have grown to love the lightbox.

Enough craziness.

I'm glad that everybody has gotten back on the blog.

Evan & Sabine: I'm glad you guys are just starting to get back into your routine and I'm very happy that Sabine's pioneering is working out well. It stinks we couldn't see your talk, but I have every confidence that you did an excellent job and that it was very encouraging for the friends. We will keep in touch as much as possible. We miss you guys too. We have a great time during your visit.

Ma: It's nice to hear from you too. I miss you. I'm happy to hear that you were able to do some service by writing letters. I wrote a letter too on Saturday morning to start my time. Definitely keep it up! Jehovah will bless your efforts!!! We should set a date to have you guys over for dinner. I LOVE TO COOK!!!

Pa: You're the only one left not back on the blog! "Yoo khan dooh eet!" Come on! Join in the fun! Oh and you need to call me when you close the pool!!! That filter is heavy!!! You stink cuz you got to go the last YANKEES GAME OF THE SEASON!!! IT must have rocked cuz they won! Sheri and I have yet to see a Red Sox game together where they win. Tell us all about it!!

Gina: It was nice to talk to you yesterday and catch up a little. We miss you and Sam too. We'd love to see more pictures. She was talking so much yesterday. Does she walk yet? I'm glad to hear that you are so excited about putting Jehovah first. It's such a great feeling to know that you're making Jehovah happy, isn't it? Keep that feeling.

Sheri: I'll see you when I get home. Oh, and I'm pregnant.

Ian: Remember to do your daily Bible reading in a British accent because American accents suck. Oh, oops...I should have just kept that to myself.

So what's new with me? Sheri hit on some good points about Portuguese. We had a great talk by a brother from NJ only in Portuguese for 2 years but excellent at the language. He was about my age, I think. He gave an excellent talk in English, as well, that Sheri mentioned about our spiritual height.

I got a new study. He's coming into the truth on his own. He already studied the Require brochure in Brazil but he insists on going through it again and then to another book. He's got scriptures memorized and he really has an appreciation for spiritual things. I wouldn't be surprise if he got baptized within a year.

Well, I've posted quite a bit, although I could keep going. But I'll leave it at this and practice some self-control.

I'm glad you got things rolling again everyone. I check the blog every once in a while, but I can never bring myself to be the first one to start...I think its a deep-seated fear of rejection. Like, if I blog, and no one responds, I just can't handle that rejection...just kidding, really its just laziness.

Its so great to hear about how well everyone is doing. It makes me so happy. I wish we all could've heard Sabine's talk, I'm sure it was excellent.

Gina, you should post more pictures of Sam...I know you guys are wicked busy, and we totally miss seeing you more often. We'll get together soon, I know.

Its been such a busy busy summer, with no slowing down in sight. Ian is auxilliary pioneering this month, so its sure to be jam packed too, but in a good way. Things are going great in Portuguese. The studies keep coming, and it seems like ever so slowly we're getting some new recruits to join us. Our average attendance at the Saturday meeting has been around 45 I'd say, which is not bad, considering there were some months before that it was only like 30 or so. I'm always amazed at the fact that we always have a different speaker for the public talk. You would think, since its a foreign language there wouldn't be enough brothers to go around, but we've only had a couple of repeats and most of the time that was a last minute fill-in. We've had brothers from all over though, so that's nice. We had a bethel speaker last week from a New Jersey congregation and he gave the public talk in Portuguese and then a special talk after an abbreviated Watchtower, in English. It was great it was entitled "How Tall Are You?" (O que e sua altura?) It was great.

I want to hear all about the game yesterday Rick...it must've been totally awesome!

That's great that you were able to do some letter-writing Leanne, keep up the good work!

Nope it's not Pa!! I tricked ya. He and Gina just finished closing the pool and the little Scubber is up for a nap. I'm doing "stuff" on the computer and it's a beautiful day!! I wrote letters to not-at-homes yesterday, and Pa says Chris Dadah's going to give me some more.
I have to pick out a color to paint my office. I'm very undecided this time. I just have to buckle down and look because it's getting cold out here again on the porch!! It's getting to be the time for a foliage ride.....

I know, I miss blogging too. It's like once you get out of the swing then weeks go by and you realize,hey I miss blogging.
Evan, I really hope that the job comes through for you so you can pioneer come this December. I really believe that no matter what Jehovah will make it possible for you to pioneer. The door is wide open for you both. You are both working so hard for Jehovah, nothing is unattainable.
It was nice to hear that Sabine gave her first talk in the English Hall. I'm sure she did great!
I miss you both and I hope we can stay in touch so it will feel like you are close.
Things are going good here. Samantha and I went out in service this morning with Tiffany and the 2 girls and Shiloh and Jessica Masiello, we had a great time. The kids were pretty good. I did one of my calls and we did not at homes too. I placed a Watch brochure with a man. it was a good morning just to be out. And then after that Sam and I went to my cleaning job in Worcester. Sam's down for a nap right now and then when she wakes up we will probably go to the park and then I should be having my study with Shiloh tonight. Spiritual things abroad !!!!!

My past is not pretty but I'm moving forward.No looking back. I just wish I could've had this drive for Jehovah years ago, I guess I just had to work through some "junk".
I can't wait till we are all on the other side, knowing that we made it through this difficult life and then we will have forever, it's so awesome.
I guess you can call this an epiphany in a way. but anyhow enough of the deep stuff.

The first to break the ice on the blog

Hey everyone,

I thought I would pull our blog out of the closet and blow the dust off it a little bit so that we could all start keeping up with each other again.

I don't have a lot of time, because as usual one of my students is late for his class and I'm waiting for him now, so at any moment he could show.

Anyway, I just wanted you all to know that we're doing okay. We're really tired since getting back and getting into our normal schedule again. Sabine's adjusting to Regular Pioneering but she's very satisfied doing it. I hope to join her in November or December (Jehovah willing)

Also, I have an interview with that new teaching company that I told most of you about already. I really hope it's the right thing and I can have the schedule I want to pioneer. I know Jehovah will make sure of it though whether it's this job or another.

We're busy in the congregation too. Sabine just gave her first talk in the main hall in English. She was really nervous especially since she didn't have much time (due to our trip to the States) everything went well though. At the same time I was conducting the 2nd school so I didn't see it, but I know she did great.

Well, I have to go check on my student again. My love to all of you. We miss you all so much since we left, but we need to stay in touch. That will make things easier.

Hi everyone. Sorry its been so long. I have been looking at the blog site to check for new posts, but when I don't see any, I can't think of anything to post myself, so I just wait for all of you to do the work...sorry.

I guess Ian's pretty much told all of our news, so not much left to tell. I felt sort of bad when they made the announcement about us going to Worcester, because some of the friends are a little sad to leave Lowell. I had mixed feelings. I'm definitely not sad about not having to drive out there anymore, but I was a little sad to leave the congregation and the people. Not that I got real close to anyone in particular, but its just a really nice congregation, so different from any that I've been in before (which I guess is really only 2). Plus I feel bad because we're taking practically half the congregation with us. When I looked around, there were not many people there, and it seemed like half of them were from Worcester, so I guess they'll have a lot of growing to do when we're gone. Its exciting though to have been part of the beginnings of a group and to see it grow and progress. Plus its sort of nice to go back to my old hall, although a little weird, since this is the second time I've returned there. I think that it'll be really great for the English friends to see everything happening too though. So we'll see...

I can't wait to see the video of the drama. I loved the drama so much. I thought that the whole story line was so applicable to our times. I thought it was really realistic too, how Jonathan and Persis viewed things, and how Jonathan and Timothy were still friends, but sort of grew apart a little at some point. Just really realistic.

The whole convention was great. I really enjoyed getting that new book, it seems great. I can't wait to use it in service. Of course we totally loved going to the Stanley Theater too. Its beautiful. Although, the city itself is really really gross, actually I wasn't really impressed with the entire state, from what I saw. Its just dirty and smelly. It was nice to be at the convention though. We'll upload some pictures when we get a chance.

Hey everyone,

I'm just writing so that the blog will start up again. It's been almost a month since anyone has blogged. Including us!

Well, we've finally done the drama and everything went great. In fact, we're a little sad that we're not going to see each other so often anymore for rehearsals. It was such a nice privilege to be involved. We were told after that there were teary eyes in the crowd during the drama. It was really touching.

Anyway, we have a video that I've got on my computer and I'll upload it to Ian's computer as soon as I can so you can see it. I'm getting together with the brother who directed it so we can splice together the four tapes that we have and make one master tape with the best shots. Hopefully I can make dvd's of that and mail one to you all.

So we're doing fine and looking forward to our trip to Spain soon. We hope you're all doing great. Call anytime you want. We're just on the other end of the line!

OK, so...updates:

Sheri and I are in our new place but we're still living out of boxes. We still have to paint the cabinets and do the trim and with the 2 conventions we went to and other stuff, we haven't had the time to finish it, but we don't want to unpack everything until we actually finish the apartment. We'll make sure to post some pictures when it's done.

We just had an announcement last night at the Lowell Portguese meeting that there will be a foreign language group in Worcester attached the the Worcester Central, English congregation. It's what we expected, but it's finally here!!! So we don't have to drive to Lowell anymore. We'll just go to the English TMS and Service Meeting on Thursday nights in Worcester and we'll separate into a Portuguese TMS (talks no. 2, 3 and 4 only) but everyone in group, including the Portuguese-speaking friends, will attend in English for the remainder of the meetings that night.

We're excited and it's just going to get busier. We have a very good Bible study with a couple. We hope they continue to make progress.

Well, Evan and Sabine, we're really looking forward to seeing you in the fall and until then, we'll try to blog more!!! Love you all!!!

I have to tell you all that I was laughing so hard silently in my cube when I read about how Pa loves to have gas fumes flowing through his nostrils. Oh my goodness...I was almost crying.

Pa you have to write more. It really brightened up my day. Thanks again for letting me borrow your tools. I got all the sanding done on the butcher block. It looks really good. I can't wait to get the stain on it. I'll see if I can drop of that stuff on the way home from the meeting tonight.

I can see that you have so-o much stress. Think of Stuart Smiley... Go to a happy place in your mind when these things happen and it will take you away...

No, seriously, that is awful..I feel so badly that you have to go through that. I thought there would be air conditioning on the Metro, but I guess it wouldn't be feasible with the doors opening and closing so often.

And Sabine, you are having adventures too!! What a week! I am sorry about your Grandmother in Fonsorbes. Sheri told us about it.

When are you going to Spain? I keep looking at airfares to come and visit you and also go to Italy but I can't do it yet until I do something about my back. I would have to stay in the apartment or take cabs everywhere and not walk much or use a wheely-cart (haha). I'm going to Physical Therapy now, mostly in a heated pool. We'll see what happens with that.

Pop and I took Grampy Orsi for a ride Monday. I planned a fairly short, northerly trip up some obscure routes. But after we had driven past the Wachusett Reservoir and Clinton Dam, Dad remembered that long ago, before there were major highways, they used to go to Hampton Beach that way. I checked the map and sure enough, Route 111 goes from about Ayer, MA northeastly right to the north end of Hampton Beach!! It took two and a half hours but there was absolutely no traffic and this was the 4th of July!! And there was really nice scenery; fields, mountain views, woods, horses, beautiful colonial homes and towns, cozy cottages with picket fences, and farms all along the way. We cut over to the shore road at Seabrook NH just below Hampton and went to Markey's Lobster Pool for supper where the marshes were right outside with a river and seagulls flying by. We ate outside on a covered porch.
HOWEVER!! We had to go through Hampton Beach to get to Route 111 to go home. We left the Lobster Pool at 6:14 and sat in traffic almost two hours to go about two miles or less. We had no idea what was going on except that we had to move over for two firetrucks and two ambulances. There was a mounted Hampton police officer and many other police, Coast Guard helicopters and a news helicopter flying overhead, and a Fox News truck.
We had left home at about 1 pm and arrived back home at quarter of 11! I put on the news and there was the story about what had happened at Hampton.
There have been particularly bad rip currents due to winter storms changing the undersea topography, and the lifeguards have been pulling as many as 60 people a day from the surf and have closed certain areas where it is particularly strong! Unfortunately, the lifeguards go off duty at 5 pm and that's when many people come to the beach when it is not so hot and to cook out. Apparently, ten people had been taken out by the rough surf including a 10-year-old boy from Marlboro and a young man from Worcester in his 20s. The boy's stepfather, Carlos Reyes, 34, went into the water to rescue him but was dragged under and so was the Worcester man, Anthony Tapia. The boy was rescued by fire rescue crews and is okay. The two men were finally pulled out, but they couldn't be revived.
On the way home from Hampton, we saw all sorts of fireworks from the towns we passed by, so all in all, it was a nice day, and my father was superhappy, as it is his favorite thing to go for rides on country roads and especially to eat lobster! So we felt good that we had taken him with us.

JE DETESTE LE METRO SYSTEME A PARIS

Je ne peux pas supporter le systeme metro a paris désormais. Je ressemble je suis sur une voiture de bétail sur ma voie aux camps de concentration!

I'm sorry everyone, but I need to vent. I just start to speak French when I talk about the Metro in Paris. It's really convenient and cheaper than a car, but if I have to get into one more metro on humid day of 90 degrees with not more than 1cm of space between me and the guy with B.O........I'M GONNA SHOOT SOMEONE IN THE FACE!!!!

You would not believe how jammed it was in the metro this morning. I went out at 7:30 a.m. and the metro was late, so you know what that means. People keep coming down to wait for the Metro even though there's no metro. And there all like, "where's the metro? I want to get on the metro.....I don't see it....do you see it?" SHUT UP!!! So, what do you have when the metro finally arrives. ENOUGH PEOPLE TO MAKE THE DOORS BLOW OFF THE METRO!!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHHA!!!! Sorry.......At first I found a seat, so I was safe and could read my book and such. BUT, then there was the infamous line change. Line 9 to line 13 is like the difference between It's a Small World After All at Disney and taking a ride to AUSCHWITZ in a cattle car on a 90 degree day with 100 percent humidity!!!!

So, I made my way down to the "sweat box from hell" to find hords of people waiting for the metro and there was still 3 minutes until the next metro arrived. You know what that meant.......more time for people to join us on the ride to the netherworld!!!! No!!! When it arrived and the doors opened I made a mad rush to the nearest pole to grab onto for support for what lay ahead. I felt pity for the people who didn't have time to grab hold of anything......fools.

Nothing could have prepared any of us for what came next. As we reached the infamous St. Lazare metro station I was overcome with horror to see what looked like a sea of people waiting for the metro. It looked like as if someone had announced that Tom Cruise would be riding the line 13 today with Katie Holmes!!!!! Unfortunately there was nothing of the sort. To make matters worse, just a few people got off the metro. We were already jammed to the gills to begin with, but now we were supposed to fit thousands more with us!!!

As soon as the doors opened people started jamming there way in as if it was the last metro to ever go to the north of Paris. They had a look of desperation on their faces thinking to themselves, "if I could just squeeze myself in between the African and the Arabic I can go home"...........I remember the last guy who tried to claw his way in and didn't make it and he was caught between the closing doors, but no one could help him. He was severed in half when the metro finally started throught the tunnel. I can still hear his screams.

Well, to make a long story short, I made it to work on this hell ride to find that my students canceled our morning class. So, what did I do? I got right back on the line 13 for another ride on the Auschwitz express.

Sorry to burn your ear. Just needed to vent.

i am so sorry honey for you terrible ride....
me itwas actually friday 30 minutes before i was leaving, i saw by the window some firefithers,cops and road workers just in front of my building. I m like WOW what is this!!!!!! hoping that the accident won't be too bad! then when i wasleaving, locking the door and everything, i try to press the elevator button, but it wasn't working, then i was hearing water noices by the elevator, so i went back to my office and look again by the window and found out that all that mess outside was for our building.... call my boss and go out again, hearing water and courageously taking the stairs (i m on the 8th floor by the way) i m starting to get really nervouse, plus i really felt that i was alone here because all the securities issues were open to everybody except for me but i went down and made it ok. outside was a mess, water and mudd and sand cops firefighters, workers people watching ect.... so i asked what is happening, and a water pipe who broke and watered all the building was fool of water.

Cabbage Patch Preemie Brings Charges Against Foster Family

Oxford, Massachusetts - June 27, 2004

A cabbage patch preemie doll sporting Ray-Bans triumphantly strolls down the steps of the MedTrans Office Courthouse on a sunny New England day accompanied by an entourage of attorneys. It was quite a scene in the courtroom today where this preemie levied charges against his foster family of 19 years. His foster family, the Rossis, were tried on counts of neglect, abuse and 11 counts of manslaughter.

These charges come only after the preemie was released by the family's grandmother, having held him hostage for the past 19 years. "I was kept in a dark closet with no food and water. Fortunately I don't need those things, but I was also without any love and attention for what seemed like an eternity," remarks the preemie on being held hostage. He blames the Rossis for allowing the kidnapping to occur in the first place. He has not pressed charges against the grandmother.

The preemie claims that by losing his birth certificate the Rossis deprived him of his own identity. "I don't even know my own name, " he said in an emotional testimony. It was, at moments, too emotional for the good of his case. In one statement, he recounted that before he joined the Rossis he had heard that, on one occasion, they put Oscar the Grouch over a bare light bulb, burning him to death. However, the statement was stricken from the record as heresy.

The one charge that has the public in an uproar, however, is that of manslaughter. The preemie recounted the day he was taken hostage by the Rossis grandmother and watched as his dear friends were placed atop a moving car that was destined for the highway. He knew their fate. "I will push for the maximum sentence," he says regarding the 11 counts of manslaughter that the Rossis have been charged with. Among the 11 victims were 3 stuffed animals that had only joined the Rossi family a week prior to their demise.

If the Rossis are convicted, a civil trial is expected to follow where the preemie will sue for pain and suffering. After being held hostage and then returned to their custody, the Rossis forced him to pose for photographs (left) that they would later post on numerous Internet websites offering to give him up to anyone willing to take him. "It was so demoralizing, " the preemie says. A local philanthropist, named Sheri, has offered to adopt him and begun to take the necessary legal action.

With a level of publicity rivaling that of the Michael Jackson abuse trial, it has been difficult for the preemie to keep a low profile. "I've gotten over 600,000 letters and I receive hundreds phone calls daily that my attorneys are now fielding. [The support] has been overwhelming." Not all of those letters and phone calls are supportive, however. The preemie has received death threats and other disturbing messages from several right-wing, anti-rights-for-dolls activist groups.

He has been offered special protection from the local authorities, but has refused. "If I hide from the public's view then so will my cause, [and I] don't want that." He told reporters that he does not wish to take vengeance or be a public spectacle, but he will take action where he can to stop others from being so neglected.

I'd like to offer to adopt this unclaimed Preemie, seeing as no one else seems to care about him. I think its pretty sad. I just could not bare to see him put into foster care, so I think its safe to say that Ian wouldn't mind if we adopted him. Although we're pretty sure he belongs to Evan, if its not weird for him, then we would love to adopt him into our family.

Gina, that picture of Sam and you at the beach is adorable! I want to see the rest of them too. I didn't get to look at them before.

So did you guys go to Hannah's graduation party? I heard it was pretty fun. Unfortunately Jolene's party was the same day, so we didn't make it to Hannah's. We had a good time though. We had Moe's and Millbury House of Pizza for food, so that was real good. My mom had about 10 bags of nachos left over and a huge thing of nacho cheese. It was real appetizing looking.

We had our last day of class on Saturday also. It was bittersweet I guess, but mostly sweet. We're glad to have the Saturday mornings free again. Its good timing too, because I need to be out in service on Saturday mornings and afternoons. We also had a former Missionary couple who served in Brazil, but are now living, I think in Brockton? It was nice to hear their experiences.

Evan and Sabine, are you guys getting psyched about going on vacation? I'm sure you are. We're going up to the beach next Sunday I think just for the day, so that will be nice.

Hi everybody! Hope you all had a good weekend. Ours was pretty good. We had our C.O. visit in Portuguese. It was great. Saturday after class we had Br. Sharpless and Br. Furtado there at the hall. Ian said it was doubly encouraging because we had 2 C.O.'s instead of just 1. Still no official news about the progress of the congregation/group, but Br. Furtado said that things were "under consideration" and "something definitive" would take place "soon." I don't think he could've been more vague. We're all still excited anyways, no matter what happens.

We sort of went to the beach yesterday, and hopefully it was the first of many many many more trips this summer!

Hey, if no one's going to claim the long lost preemie, then I may have to adopt him myself...Ian knows how much I love Cabbage Patch Kids!

WOW. That is so weird. What a blast from the past. How did he make it? Did we forget to pack him in the backpack? For a second, as I read Gina's blog, I thought that maybe we had just left the backpack in their house or it fell off on their street and they somehow got it. It's just so weird that after 17 years, he just turns up like that. I'm pretty sure that mine was completely bald, so I think it's Evan's. But I can't remember the names. The Long Lost Preemie ( When we last went to visit Grammy and Grampy Rossi Grammy had this guy sitting on her couch and she said Sam could have him, I couldn't help remembering that all of us had cabbage patch dolls and that we were so wrecked when we realized that before we left Grammy's in South Carolina, that our bag of stuffed animals and dolls got left on the roof of the station wagon when we drove off to Massachusetts. So mom called grampy and asked if he'd look on the highway, but there was no hope, the dudes were long gone. But somehow this guy survived. Gram must have had him, there can't be any other way. So now it is the moment of truth. Ian and Evan you have to prove to me which one is the true owner or I will be forced to cut him down the middle. Will the true owner step forth and claim his long lost son. LET THE TRUTH BE KNOWN !!!!!!!

hi again, it s mejust a quick hello to everybody i miss all of you, this our CO visit and we already had good talks, the CO told us also that this is a really special week because all the talks are from the governing body and the last talk ll be very important to be at. hello everybody, i m glad that we are on the blog move again it's fantastique!!!!!! Gina, Sam is so big now and much more hairs, i can't believe she ll be a year soon, the time goes so fast it s amazing!!! nice to hear from you too Rick. Hope everybody is doing good. It s really sad for Doug, thx for the adress Leanne, we are going to send a post card to them. We have our special week this week, we are happy again to receive our CO bunny sleepers.... he is going to eat at our place sunday with an another couple, if she's make it !!! she is pregnant and at term so the baby can come in any time now. Anyways... the weather is getting lot better, it s going to be 88° by the end of the week, i m happy that the weather ll be nice for the CO visit. hope everybody had a nice week end, Sat night we went to the French hall, it was good to see everybody, i miss them a lot, i m adjusting ok to the english, but i am happy to see my friends there. ok time to go back to work now YAK!!!!
